Preparation, Characterization, Thermal and Electrical Conductivity Properties of PVDF Composites
      S. Devikala, P. Kamaraj and M. Arthanareeswari
Abstract: Using PVDF and ZrO2, polymer composites were prepared by sol gel method. Various measurements such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) were used to characterize the composites. Thermal and electrical properties of the composite samples were studied. The conductivity of composites was found to increase with increase in temperature as well as with zirconia content. As temperature increases, the polymer chain acquires faster internal modes in which bond rotations produce segmental motion.
