This study sought to explore the impediments facing elderly persons in accessing cash transfer programs in Kiambu Sub County, Kenya. The study used descriptive research design with a target population of 977 elderly persons in Kiambu Sub County. A sample size of elderly respondents which represents 10% of the total target population from each of the 6 regions was selected from the target population. The study used both questionnaires and interview guides to get information from elderly persons with the help of research assistants. Quantitative data was analyzed descriptively while qualitative data was analyzed by use of content analysis. The study also used Pearson Correlation Moment method for advanced analysis.
