The Water Birds of Gidhwa & Parsada Wetlands, Nandghat, Bemetara, Chhattisgarh (India)

Abstract: Birds Community of Gidhwa & Parsada Wetlands in Nandghat, Bemtara District, and Chhattisgarh State was studied during February 2013 to March 2014. The methodology followed was mainly observation using binocular and collected information with the help local bird watcher of those particular wetlands. A total 143 species of birds, belonging to 48 families were recorded from the area during the period. Among them 11 migrants, 26 local migrants and are 106 resident birds. Highest number of birds was recorded in mid-month of October to Post January, and the lowest was observed in month of April - June.
