The concept and implication of an employee turnover has been an area of interest among researchers. The phenomenon of Employee turnover can be traced to misalignment of expectations and aspirations of the employees with the organization. In the current study, I sought to understand this phenomenon through a sample of MBA students, who were in full employment, before leaving the organization, in pursuit of an MBA. Results reveal that although areas of job satisfaction and employee engagement were high in the previous organizations, employees left to pursue a brighter career or an aspirational role change.
