Abstract: Plasmodium vivax is the most frequent cause of recurring malaria. It is less virulent than Plasmodium falciparum, but it can also lead to severe disease and death. Classic clinical signs and symptoms of malaria include fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, body aches, anemia, and jaundice. The present study investigated the epidemiology, prevalence, manifestations, and severity of Plasmodium vivax among adults at two sites in Merowe City, Sudan, between November 2021 and September 2022.
