Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an indispensable tool in modern academia, revolutionising teaching, learning, research, and knowledge production. While AI presents significant opportunities to enhance academic efficiency, research quality, and institutional governance, its unregulated use equally poses serious threats to academic credence through plagiarism, fabrication of research, examination malpractice, authorship disputes, and other forms of academic misconduct.
