Abstract:
The study evaluates and assesses Sudanese EFL university students readiness to develop and enhance their autonomous learning skills. It aims to find out the nature of the strategies they could adopt to develop these skills. It also attempts to investigate the role the teacher and the learning environment play in the development of learner autonomy. Moreover, the study explores the nature of the activities incorporated in the learning syllabus to assess and evaluate their effects on developing learner autonomy. Outside class-activities are also investigated.
