In this study, the researcher investigated teachers’ recruitment as determinant of the academic achievement of students in public secondary schools in Imo state. The descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. Two research questions and two hypotheses guided the study. The population of the study consisted of 360 principals of public secondary schools in the study area. The sample size comprised the 360 principals that make up the population of the study because of the size of the population. A 10-item questionnaire titled, “Teachers’ Recruitment as Determinant of the Academic Performance of Students’ in Public Secondary Schools in Imo State Questionnaire (TRDAPSPSSIMQ)” was used to collect data from respondents.
