Abstract:
Liability in tort for defective product is anchored on negligence. It is governed by legal principles found chiefly in the judgment of judges entrusted with the administration of justice and partly from law books of eminent scholars. This work examines the subject of defective product within the confines of law of tort, and argues that consumers should be protected at all times and independently of contractual relations otherwise producers themselves may become ‘killers’ in the near future.
