Abstract: This study examines the spatial distribution of land suitability for cocoa production in Ondo State, Nigeria, using advanced geospatial and statistical modeling techniques. The research aims to identify key environmental and edaphic (soil-related) factors that influence cocoa production, and to produce a series of suitability maps that can inform agricultural planning and policy. To achieve this, a combination of a Generalized Linear Model (GLM) and Random Forest classification was employed. The analysis utilized diverse datasets, including rainfall, temperature, relative humidity, and soil nutrient data, sourced from various meteorological and agricultural databases.
