Abstract: Water is vital for human health, industry, agriculture and ensuring the integrity and sustainability of the ecosystem. The water resources are the top affected by climate variability hence causing floods and droughts, the rapid population growth also increases water demand and affects water allocation systems as well as water resources management plans to suit the basic water needs for both human and nature hence causes the scarcity of water, and Rwanda is among the countries that experiences and is expecting to continue experiencing such situation in the next decades if nothing is done for skirmishing the existing conditions.
