This paper offers an understanding of how cognitive load can interfere with the emotions of the person. Exposure to cognitive load at any level can be challenging for the task in hand. Conducted over 60 participants, this experimental design used the stroop test initially to measure the attention deficits of the participants, who were then subjected to the experimental conditions (with neutral and emotional stimulus). Convenience sampling was used as the sampling technique for this study and Independent t-test was used for the analysis. Results showed partial differences in the emotional and neutral processing of participants.
