Abstract:
Subclinical hypothyroidism is a common biochemical finding in the general population. It is accidentally diagnosed and usually presents with mild or no symptoms of hypothyroidism, but it may progress to overt hypothyroidism. Patients with hypothyroidism are prone to develop cardiovascular disease, which is related to elevated cholesterol and lipoprotein levels in these patients.
