Abstract:
Phenolic compounds may be the part of oils, hydrocarbons and different types of insecticides, herbicides, pesticides and industrial effluents which are released in the fresh water bodies knowingly harming the aquatic life in terms of flora and fauna. Relatively little is known about the effects of low concentrations of phenolic compounds on the normal physiological functions of freshwater fishes.
