Abstract:
Rural tourism is a form of tourism that showcases the rural life, art, culture and heritage at rural locations, thereby benefiting the local community economically and socially. It is a recent offshoot of tourism sector that has grown up to be a potential business in its own space. It is a significant strategy for rural development by providing an alternate source of livelihood and large scale employment in the rural areas.
