Abstract:
This article reflects on the integration of health research principles with health management practices, based on the author’s experiential learning during a professional attachment to the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) – Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) West, based in Bristol, United Kingdom. During the attachment, the author explored and critically examined key concepts and methodologies in health research through the lens of health management. This cross-disciplinary engagement led to the development of novel insights aimed at improving decision-making, operational efficiency, and evidence-based management within healthcare settings. The article introduces a technique for leveraging passive data for managerial purposes using qualitative research principles.
