Abstract: Health-care waste is defined as the all waste generated within healthcare institutions, centers in relation to research works, laboratories related to medical investigation procedures and waste formed during health care undertaken in the home. Find out knowledge, attitude and practice of waste management (WM) is important to improve waste management process. In Base Hospital Walasmulla (BHW), waste management started several years back and had observed in problems with their waste management practices and mixing of different categories of waste is common.
