Abstract:
The purpose of this paper was to find out how English language as a medium of instruction affects the learners’ academic performance in secondary day schools of Ruhango district. Specifically, the paper analyzed the use of English as medium of instruction in secondary day schools, the status of learners’ academic performance in English language in secondary day schools and the relationship between English as medium of instruction and learners’ academic performance in the classroom.
