Abstract: Thrombocytopenia is a common finding in haematology practice and most often requires many tests to identify the cause. The study was done to evaluate IPF as a screening test for thrombocytopenia, to evaluate IPF as a diagnostic test for thrombocytopenia with associated increased thrombopoietic activity and to evaluate the difference in the IPF according to the age and sex of patients A peripheral blood sample was analyzed by the FBC analyzer and (IPF) obtained. SPSS 20 was used for the statistical analysis. A P-value ≤ 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
