Abstract: The study focused on the difficulties encountered in solving quadratic equation of the grade 9 students in Taligaman National High School. This study aimed to determine the difficulties encountered in solving quadratic equation of the grade 9 students. This study used descriptive research procedure which tested the hypothesis or answer question concerning the current status. In gathering the data needed, a survey questionnaire was used to 121 respondents randomly selected from grade 9 students in Taligaman National High School. The researcher used the random sampling design.
