Abstract: This study assesses the interactions between women’s empowerment, measured by the Women’s Empowerment in Agriculture Index–5 Domains of Empowerment (WEAI-5DE), and household food and nutrition security in rural areas of the Itasy Region, Madagascar. This region has strong agricultural potential but is known for its high prevalence of stunting (52% among children under five).
