Abstract:
Procurement includes all activities required in order to obtain the product from the supplier and get it to the place where it is actually needed. It encompasses the purchasing function, stores, traffic and transportation, incoming inspection and quality control and assurance (Farmer and Weele, 2000). Procurement, according to Wind and Thomas (2001), is as old as organizations but it has evolved over time.
