Abstract:
This study was carried out to assess the physicochemical parameters of hand dug well water samples in the ten political wards of Zing local government area of Taraba state. Sixty different samples were collected in 10 wards between the months of October 2019 to March 2020. The findings showed that, temperature (ºC), PH, electrical conductivity (µs/cm), Total hardness, Total dissolves Solids, Chlorides, Sulphates, Calcium, Magnesium and nitrates concentrations express in mg/l were within the safe limits recommended by World Health Organization (WHO) and Nigeria Standard for Drinking Water Quality (NSDWQ) for a safe drinking water purposes.
