Abstract:
Healthcare Services are free of charge at the point of delivery to all citizens in Sri Lankan public health institution. It includes free meals for inward patients and Health service assistants. It is must to do costing studies to assess the efficiency of providing these services free of charge. This study assesses inward patients’ diet cost at Base Hospital Eravur which is one of the secondary care hospitals in Batticaloa region.
