Ananas comosus, called Pineapple in common, has several beneficial medicinal properties counting antioxidant activity as well. The objective of the present study was to phytochemically screen the various pulp extracts for the presence of various secondary metabolites including Flavonoids as well as Phenols and to evaluate the antibacterial and antioxidant proceedings of the same. The fruit of pineapple was extracted with Ethanol, Methanol, Ethyl acetate, Acetone, n-Hexane, Chloroform and Distilled water by Maceration method. Primary phytochemical screening for the presence of various secondary metabolites was done in order, especially to check the presence of flavonoid glycosides.
