Abstract: Electricity is essential to the smooth functioning of healthcare institutions. Hospitals are one of the highest electricity consumers among the building sectors. Further, limited resources, excessive and growing consumption, and a remarkable amount of the recurrent budget make it mandatory to have an energy management perspective and use energy efficiently. Therefore, without affecting the quality of care investigate alternative energy sources, and make significant investments in energy-efficient technologies to save energy costs and lessen their carbon footprint.
