Abstract: Although recreation plays important role in the well being of an individual, user satisfaction is critical in determining people’s inclination to take to recreation. This study looked at user satisfaction, expectations and patronage to selected recreational centers in Port Harcourt with a view to determining how user personality attributes underpin user participation and patronage as a basis for more informed policy making on recreation in Port Harcourt metropolis. Adopting the cross sectional survey design, data were sourced from both primary and secondary sources. The multiple classification analysis was used to examine the relationship between users’ personality attributes and frequency of use of recreation centers.
