Abstract:
Introduction: Acne vulgaris (AV) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the pilosebacceous unit characterized by the formation of open and closed comedones, papules, pustules, nodules and cysts. Vitamin D has an antiinflammation and anticomedogenic effects. Correlation between vitamin D and AV is presumed to exists only in patients with AV inflammatory lesions.
