Abstract:
Raphia taedigera activated carbon was prepared and impregnated with sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) and disodium ethylene diaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) to enhance its performance for the adsorption of lead ions from aqueous solution. The two modified activated carbons, the sodium dodecyl sulphate modified Raphia taedigera activated carbon (SDS-RT) and the disodium ethylene diaminetetraacetic acid Raphia taedigera activated carbon (EDTA-RT), were characterized.
