Abstract:
This study was carried out so as to assessed the radiological concentrations in water through the use of a well shielded and well calibrated NaI(Tl) detector. Three primordial radionuclides namely 238U, 232Th and 40K were detected in the samples. The radionuclides concentrations range from 2.85 ± 0.79 Bql-1 to 25.80 ± 4.62 Bql-1 (11.08 ± 2.61 Bql-1) for 238U, from 0.57 ± 0.06 Bql-1 to 7.11 ± 0.66 Bql-1(3.69 ± 0.34 Bql-1) for 232Th and from 1.45 ± 0.14 Bql-1 to 31.93 ± 2.42 Bql-1(12.49 ± 1.05 Bql-1) for 40K respectively.
