Abstract:
There are two major seasons in Nigeria – wet and dry season. This study was carried out to assess concentrations and seasonal variations in heavy metals in leachates, borehole water, soil and edible plants around unengineered dumpsites in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Samples of leachates, borehole water within 300m from each unengineered dumpsites, soil samples, and two edible plants were collected around each unengineered dumpsites; all for analysis of heavy metal contaminations.
