Over the years Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) have played a vital role in the socio-economic development of Ghana. The study examined the HRD practices of NGOs in Ghana with particular focus on NGOs in the health sector. The study combines mixed research methods. A sample size of 30 NGOs registered with the Department of social welfare and members of the Ghana Coalition of NGOs in Health was used. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data. The study observed that although NGOs in Ghana health sector employ some HRD practices in their operations, much attention is not giving to these practices. The study therefore recommended that Human resource development need to be introduced properly to the NGOs as it helps maintain talents in workers due to the capacity trainings attended.
