Abstract: The relationship between Kenya and China has improved in the last two decades and these two countries are in pursuit of building mutually beneficial relations. So far, China is involved in Kenya’s economic and military security as one of Kenya’s largest trading partners and through the supply of various military hardware. In light of this, there was a need to assess this relationship and establish the impediments that could be hindering the establishment of a win-win situation and to also identify the opportunities that China presents which Kenya could exploit to enhance its military and economic security.
