Abstract: The computation of the area of a triangle from its three side lengths is a fundamental topic in geometry. Although the mathematical procedure is well established, many students experience difficulties because of the number of intermediate calculations involved. This paper presents a pedagogical simplification that reorganizes the computational process into a sequence of clearly defined instructional steps. The objective is not to introduce a new mathematical formula but to improve classroom teaching, student comprehension, and computational accuracy. The proposed instructional framework encourages systematic problem solving by separating the calculation into logical stages, thereby reducing common arithmetic mistakes. The approach is illustrated with classroom-oriented examples and discussed from the perspective of mathematics education.
