      Shashi Priya, Suleman
Abstract: The study aims to Investigate the pattern of Crops in the Meerut Region of Uttar Pradesh, India, is the aim of this study. The study projects change in the block-level cropping pattern between 2018–19 and 2022–23. It also examines how farmers decisions to switch crops over time are influenced by various factors such as market fluctuations, deforestation, periodic flash floods, land degradation, and modern technologies. The Meerut region serves as the research paper subject area. Data from district statistics handbooks were used to perform block-level research. To further understand the real circumstances and variables driving the shifting crop pattern, field visits and in-person interviews were conducted. The findings suggest that the district cropped area has decreased from 2018 to 2023, and the crop pattern has also changed over these five years. Sugarcane is growing faster than cereal crops, and it takes up less space. The main factors affecting the quantity of cropland were the markets and flash floods.
