Abstract:
Since the advent of the polymerase chain reaction in 1985, the extraction of DNA has become an important step in the diagnosis of certain diseases. To do this, manual extraction methods remain indispensable alternative for limited resources laboratories in developing countries because of the cost of commercially available kits. The main objective in this study was to test and optimize a fast, non-toxical, high reliable and low cost silica-based method of viral HPV-DNA extraction protocol from tissue specimens.
