Abstract: Arabesque designs are much celebrated art form of Islamic world. The Arabesque design have influenced almost all categories of Artforms in Muslim world, from wood carving, glass, metal wares, textile, illustrations, book covers, carpets to ceramic and Architecture. The floral Arabesque designs are influenced by the Chinese blue and white porcelain. However, intricate and elaborate geometric pattern designs are developed by the Muslim Artists and designers. Chinese ceramic culture was never truly influenced by the geometric aspect of Arabesque design specially in architectural heritage until very recently. But somehow modern Architecture in China is more open and embracing towards other cultures and design aesthetics including Arabesque geometric designs.
