Abstract: The 2009 Pilkhana Massacre represents one of the gravest crises in Bangladesh’s post-independence history, marked by the ruthless killings of 57 senior officers of the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR), alongside numerous civilians. This unprecedented mutiny shattered the nation’s military command structure, sent shockwaves across the country, and exposed critical weaknesses within Bangladeshs security and intelligence infrastructure.
