Abstract:
Every teacher of English practices asking probing questions in the classroom interaction in five key areas instructional goals like lesson clarity, instructional variety, task orientation, student engament and student success. Effective questions are the tools students actively respond and engage in the learning process.The purpose of questions getting students interst and attention, diagnosing and checking, recalling specific facts or information, encouraging analysing, generalizing, differentiating, expanding, applying, problem solving skills and synthesising skills.
