The study was carried out to determine the impact of students’ background school type on students academic performance This study is a descriptive research of the survey It is also on expo factor research as the students’ scores in Mathematics, English Language, Integrated Science, Social Studies and Yoruba Language were collected for us. The population of this study consists of some selected secondary schools in Akure South Local Government Area, Ondo State. The Junior Secondary School of the selected schools formed the population of the study.
