Abstract:
The main aim of the project is to investigate the determinants for employees’ attitude towards retirement in the energy sector. In this study, the target population is 500 respondents from the departments of Kenya Pipeline Company. A descriptive case study was adopted for this research. Stratified random sampling method was used for the study. There was inclusion, in the sample, of sub groups, which otherwise would be omitted entirely by other sampling methods because of their small number of population. Research instrument were questionnaires. Data collected was edited to ensure that it is correct and complete thus reducing biases, increase the precision and achieve consistency. Data was then analyzed by the use of descriptive statistics, inferential statistics and regression analysis which was presented using mean, correlation, standard deviation and percentages. The analysis was then visually displayed using frequency tables.
