Ei Phyu Win, Kyaw Kyaw Win, Kyaw Ngwe, Than Da Min
To investigate the farmers’ currently used varieties, water management and uses of organic manures, and to evaluate the farmers’ perception on climate change, the study was conducted in three village tracts in Madaya township, Mandalay region in January 2017. Purposive random sampling method was used to select 63 respondents from the study area and both qualitative and quantitative data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Most of the farmers (49.2%) in this study are middle aged. The majorities of the farmers are middle-scale farmers (96.8%). The respondents (50.8%) are well-experienced in farming and the most farming experiences are 25-40 years.
