The internet technology of social media has clearly impact on academic performance. The purpose this study is to identify the practices of student’s social media usage and its perceived challenges on academic performance at Wolaita Sodo University. The case study design and a qualitative explanatory research approach were employed. The availability samplings technique was used in the selection of the samples of the study.
