Abstract: In the last few decades, there has been an increasing incidence in the use and abuse of drugs amongst people of diverse age groups and strata of the society, especially in young people. Drug abuse remains a major public health concern globally. All drugs of abuse have varying degrees of harmful effects to the brain and other organ-systems in the body.
