Abstract:
This conceptual paper studies the influence of parents socio-economic status and educational background on their children education in Nigeria. The paper reviews literature on how socio-economic status and educational background of the parents affects the education of their children; examine the role of parents’ socio-economic status and their educational background on the Educational process of their children. In addition, studies and researches from the previous works of scholars relating to the factors that influence children Education were also analyzed and discussed throughout the paper. The discussion in the paper is base on the theoretical framework of conflict theory. This theory is appropriate for the study because it allows the reader to understand how children education is significantly affected by the socio-economic status and educational background of their parents.
