Evaluating Dry Eye Symptoms After Phacoemulsification Using Ocular Surface Disease Index, Dry Eye Questionnaire-5, and Standardized Patient Evaluation of Eye Dryness

Abstract: Introduction: This study aims to evaluate dry eye symptoms after phacoemulsification. Materials and methods: A prospective observational descriptive study was performed with total 80 eyes with cataracts in April 2021. All participants underwent phacoemulsification. All participants were asked Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI), Dry Eye Questionnaire-5 (DEQ-5), and Standardized Patient Evaluation of Eye Dryness (SPEED) preoperatively, 1 day, 1 week and 1 month after surgery.
