Abstract:
This study assessed the effect of ex-mining pond water used for irrigation on the soil and two vegetable samples (Cabbage ant Tomatoes) by assessing the concentration of some heavy metals (Cu, Cr, Mn, Cd, and Fe) present in the pond water and comparing with the concentration of the metals in the soil and the vegetables using AAS. In the mining water all the selected metals were detected except for cadmium and were within the WHO permissible limit.
