Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis is included in the top 10 diseases that cause death in the world. In 2018 pulmonary tuberculosis caused about 1.3 million peoples deaths. Estimates of the death rate from pulmonary tuberculosis per 100,000 population were found in 30 high-burden countries. There are many risk factors that can affect the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis, one of which is the physical environment of the house. Lighting and ventilation are factors associated with the spread of tuberculosis. Based on preliminary studies in several journals, there are inconsistencies or differences in research results on ventilation and lighting variables with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis.
