Abstract:
Meningioma is one of the primary brain tumors, originating from arachnoid cap cells. FGF-2 as a growth factor is a potent stimulator of endothelial proliferation which is very important in the process of angiogenesis. FGF-2 levels in meningiomas have been assessed using the ELISA and qrPCR methods in many previous studies using blood serum. This study used tissue samples of meningioma tumors to assess the association between immunohistochemical expressions of FGF-2 and histopathology grade among meningioma
