Abstract:
The progressive realization of the right to food is a binding international obligation on all nation states and the freedom from hunger is a fundamental human right. Such being the nature of the right to food, all instance of hunger is a human rights violation. The legal framework of the Nations should incorporate the protection of the right to food to make this right real and effective. The responsibility of building a hunger free world not only rests on individual states, but also on the community of nations, corporate sectors and international organizations.
